April 2024La Agricultura Apoyada por la Comunidad, o CSA, es un modelo único de producción y distribución de alimentos estacionales que une a agricultores y consumidores. Los miembros de CSA compran una participación de la cosecha de una granja por adelantado, estableciendo una base financiera sólida para la granja antes del inicio de la temporada de cosecha. A cambio, los miembros de CSA reciben una selección regular de alimentos frescos de granja durante toda la temporada.
Además de los alimentos frescos, otros beneficios de ser miembro de CSA suelen incluir: Boletines informativos agrícolas con cada acción de CSA, como contenidos compartidos, consejos de cocina y recetas; Oportunidades para visitar la granja y asistir a eventos agrícolas; Acceso exclusivo a flores, hierbas y otros cultivos para recoger; Un descuento en comparación con el mercado de agricultores o la sección orgánica del supermercado; Beneficios para la salud de comer alimentos locales frescos durante toda la temporada; Subvenciones financieras o planes de pago para hogares que no pueden pagar el precio total de la acción.
